Why is the service over the phone vis the receptionist so shocking. Fazana spoke in a manner that is totally unacceptable. I asked a question the response ‘I don’t know’ so who does know.. Why does it have to be so uncomfortable and awkward calling up. The reviews seem this is ongoing issue and nothing is being actively being reviewed or addressed. Why does a call to a GP practice have patients feeling angry, annoyed and upset?! Teach them skills or basic manners. I’m sure it would not have been appreciated if I mirrored the same tone as her.
We recently moved to the area and joined Grove Surgery. I had a baby last year and since then, we have probably visited around 4 times in total, mainly for my newborn. One positive is that whenever I have had an issue with my baby, I have always been able to get an appointment quickly, which has been reassuring. However, the experience with adult appointments has not been as good. My experience after given birth was disappointing, GP was not to interested in how I was doing. My husbands experience when he went in with jaw pain. He did not feel his concerns were taken seriously, which was disappointing given that he does not usually go to the GP easily.He still has this pain and refuses to go and see the GP now. On top of that, getting an appointment as an adult is a challenge in itself, you are asked to call, complete a form, be assessed, and then advised whether a face-to-face is needed. Overall, while the surgery has been responsive and supportive when it comes to children’s health, the experience with adult care so far has been quite disappointing.
Shocking service. It’s as though they are trying to get you to find another doctors. If you phone up to book an appointment you can be in a queue for an hour only to be cut off or told you can’t book an appointment unless you phone at 8am. They wouldn’t let me book in person either. I can’t take time off work to book an appointment as well as to attend one. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment then it’s unlikely to be at your surgery. They will send you miles away to any of their other surgeries. And no one doctor will look after you and see you through your illness. You can expect a different doctor / surgery every time you go. They continue to implement more changes that make things worse for the patients. Absolutely shameful.
After being in hospita, very nearly dying, I was told to see a doctor immediately upon return to England. The receptionist simply said that I'm not on the system. (Obviously, as Greece isn't part of the NHS!) Therefore I can't have an appointment. I phoned the hospital who gave me an appointment with a doctor within 2 hours, as my condition was really serious! The receptionist job here should be taken over by AI, as although it's artificial, it has intelligence.
They lost my ADHD forms for the second time since June. First forms were handed to the receptionist, second time I handed them to the dr during my appointment and now I received the message that they couldn’t find them anywhere.
