I visited The Farm Inn , this pub restaurant on Friday and ordered a duck salad. The presentation was attractive, but as soon as the plate was placed on my table, I immediately noticed a hair in the salad. I called the waiter over and explained the issue. When he asked how he could resolve it, I requested a new salad and clearly emphasized that I wanted a freshly prepared replacement. A few minutes later, another salad was brought to my table. It appeared to be fine, so I trusted the waiter’s assurance that it was a new dish and began eating. To my disbelief, halfway through the meal, I found another hair in the salad. This was completely unacceptable. Finding one hair is already a serious hygiene issue, but finding a second hair in the replacement dish shows a concerning lack of attention to food safety and quality control. I feel that my complaint was not taken seriously, and as a customer, I found this experience disrespectful and extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this incident has left me with a very negative impression of the restaurant.
Went here for my birthday dinner, as first timers we were welcomed without a booking a reservation on a Thursday night. After 6p.m. the place was almost full of diners. We ordered fish and chips, salt and pepper chicken wings and I was blown away with the presentation of my fish cake with spinach. I did not give them 5stars for the service because although they greet you, serve you and ask how was your food…it felt generic/no connection to customers and unlike other restaurants the servers normally tries to make a small conversation. But the food were delicious I must admit.
A very busy pub on a friday night with noise levels to match but the food was fantastic and the restaurant was tucked away nicely from the business of the bar. Would definitely go back.
This place is lovely. It has such a good vibe to it, the staff are so friendly, and the food is AMAZING. We took recommendations from our server and it didn’t disappoint. I don’t live nearby but I’m already thinking of another excuse to visit the area so we can come back.
Visited The Farm Inn in Solihull and had a lovely experience. The staff were polite and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While the "smash burger" wasn't quite a traditional smash burger, it was still very tasty. Drinks were well-prepared, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Would happily visit again!
