I have been going to the Phonlik House for roughly 25 years and it is still, to this day, the absolute best meal going.
I now live in London, but every time I come back to Solihull I insist on ordering a meal from this restaurant. The people who run the place are wonderful, and the food is always fantastic.
I have eaten at some excellent restaurants all over the world, but I’ve always considered the Phonlik House to be my favourite place to go.
This is a brilliant restaurant with great service. A local legend. Just eat here and love it!

Dined here many times, same friendly staff. We enjoyed a two course meal, a large wine was £6.90. Bill for two of us was just under fifty quid, made me ponder for a while.

Very welcoming and friendly service. All the food was delicious and good sized portions too. They seem to have a lot of regulars which says a lot and they were doing plenty of takeaway meals too. We will go back :)

I had sweet and sour crispy shredded chicken
I've had sweet and sour source from many Chinese and everyone knows what it tastes like. It tasted of pure vinegar and when I say pure I mean drinking it from the bottle.
When I asked about it the waitress said there is no vinegar but then a male came over and told me it was cooked in it.
Seriously wouldn't have sweet and sour source.
Wouldn't cook it without vinegar or less they just brought it out dry on its own.
Not impressed would never return.
P.s would never normally write reviews or complain but felt it was needed.
