Absolutely fantastic experience at Toby Carvery Knowle! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive. The carvery itself was spot on — perfectly cooked meats, crispy roast potatoes, and a great variety of fresh vegetables, all topped off with rich, tasty gravy.
The restaurant was clean, well-organised, and had a really warm, relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for a family meal or a chilled Sunday roast. Portions were generous and great value for money, with everything constantly topped up and fresh.
Huge credit to the team at Knowle — they clearly take pride in what they do. Easily one of the best Toby Carvery experiences I’ve had. Will definitely be returning!

I really felt I had to write a review after the fabulous meal we had on Friday evening. The whole experience was made even better by Aimee who was looking after us. She was so lovely, polite and attentive. At the end of the night while we were finishing our drinks and Aimee was clearing and cleaning tables around us we had a great chat with her. She never stopped working throughout but made time for us on a very busy night. The food was amazing as always and we look forward to our next meal with you. 😊

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food was tasty, even though we both had veggie meals, lovely & hot too. We also indulged in dessert as hungry. Our server Charlotte was very attentive & made sure we had a nice meal & evening. We don't live locally so don't visit often, but will definitely be back.

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING – ICY CAR PARK ⚠️
We visited on a day with heavy ice and frost, and the car park was not gritted at all, including the disabled bays. This made it extremely slippery and potentially dangerous. I feel this is vital for other guests to know before visiting in cold weather.
Once inside, the experience was much more positive. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful, which made a big difference after a stressful arrival. The carvery itself was great — good quality food, well cooked, and enjoyable overall.
The drinks were a let-down, unfortunately. The refillable drinks machine was missing syrup for several options, which significantly limited what was available.
Desserts were mixed. I’d recommend the sundaes, which were nice, but the sticky toffee pudding was disappointing — it was dry and more like a muffin than a traditional pudding, which wasn’t made clear in the description.
Finally, cleanliness could be improved, as some cutlery and glasses didn’t appear very clean.
Overall, the food and staff were good, but the lack of gritting in icy conditions is a serious issue and needs addressing to ensure guest safety.

I want this toby carvery on Tuesday honestly have no words the service by the lovely lady named Sarah was amazing she was so welcoming to me and my family nothing was too much for her. Sarah even explained there was a 6 pound meal and help us download the app to get voucher and showed us how the app work this was my first time coming to a toby carvery and I didn't know what to expect or how it work but Sarah explained it all to me and my family explains that I could go up for second on the vegetables and potatoes well don't u know I did the food was impeccable the chefs were very helping and the puddings were to die for I had mini lemon blizzard with a cappuccino and to be very honest I wish I had a big one or even took it home it was so nice Sarah kept coming over and making sure we had everything if we would like anything else and had a nice chat with us as we were leaving Sarah reminded us to but are registered if she had not remained me I don't think I would have done it I will definitely be returning to this toby carvery as I am so impressed with the lovely service and food many thanks to everyone
