Visited with our dog, dog treats and bowl provided. Egg dish was nice but the pancakes were not the best, could have been better However the atmosphere was great.
Feedback on Recent Visit – Unprofessional Interaction with Staff Member , I am writing to provide feedback about my visit to your establishment today, 07/03/2026. I entered your café with my small, well-behaved dog for a coffee. Before I had even had the chance to sit down or place my order, a woman approached me in an aggressive manner, shouting about my dog having briefly interacted with me a gentle cuddle). She identified herself as a manager. I calmly explained that my dog was simply being affectionate, remained on the floor the entire time, and posed no issue. Her tone was highly confrontational and unprofessional; she stated that if I did not like it, I could leave. At that point, my coffee had not yet been prepared, and the interaction significantly disrupted what should have been a pleasant experience. This encounter left me feeling unwelcome and ruined the remainder of my visit. While I understand concerns about pets or customer preferences, the aggressive delivery and lack of courtesy were disappointing, particularly from someone in a managerial role (who, incidentally, appeared to be off-duty and consuming alcoholic beverages at a table). That said, I would like to commend the waiter who served me—he was polite, attentive, and highly professional throughout, which stood in stark contrast to the earlier interaction. I hope this feedback is helpful in maintaining the high standards your café is capable of. I have enjoyed previous visits and would appreciate any steps taken to ensure staff handle such situations with greater professionalism and composure in the future. Great find for lunch. Lots of upstairs seating. Perfect brunch menu and the seasoning on the Eggs Florentine was fantastic and the eggs for this and the avocado toast were poached to perfection. A lovely range of Traditional light brunch with Scandinavian food on the menu. A perfect find while out christmas shopping. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this gem.
Loved it here, staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything we asked for. Food was amazing! With nice big portions and a fantastic price. Plenty of seating with an upstairs as well, that opens up into an outside eating area, will be fantastic for the summer!
disgusting staff member’s even manager me and my friends went in for a nice drink and a nice atmosphere and we got abused thrown our id back at us saying they will not serve only one girl said this the brunette girl on the bar roughly about 11pm on the 17.01.26 all of us had id apart from one person as soon as we walked in we was looked at like we was dirt as if we was underage once asked we gave our id and we understand one of us didn’t have id but we had ours one of us even had a passport we would’ve got our drinks separate from the one without an id and drank it in visible sight but even with id proving we was 20 and 18 years of age because they didn’t believe it was real they was absusive throwing ids back at us even though we was all stating this was a real id and because they couldn’t find THEIR ID CHECKER “PEN” which i didn’t even know existed they couldn’t serve us absolutely disgusting for not being locals and trying a pub recommended to us by family in the surrounding areas. Avoid at all costs.
