Food was nice but 4/5 pieces of ravioli for £20 was a bit steep! Young staff were pleasant but there was a very cold attitude from an older staff member; we were 5 minutes late to the table and were then reminded twice by the same person that they needed the table back in 2 hours. The one waitress booted my bag on the floor as she couldn’t reach over the table, had she have given me a second I absolutely would have moved the bag, I didn’t know that it was in her way! We felt like they didn’t really want us there, certainly not with children (there is no children’s menu either which again adds to not feeling particularly accommodated), we felt rushed even though we were only there for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bill was brought to us and immediately followed by a card machine (fine but we needed to split the bill and wanted pay for what each of us had). Had to send her away which she didn’t seem thrilled about. However when she came back to take payment she was pleasant enough and became warmer to talk to?! Maybe because we were leaving… I wouldn’t rush back but I wouldn’t refuse to go if someone else wanted to.
Table of 12 for our family including my son's wife mother and father who had traveled over from Arizona. What a night ! Great start as the starters (I had the figs which were absolutely delicious) were so fabulous. 5 of us had Dover sole - so yummy followed by several postings. Not to much to drink but the whole bill came to £660 - £55 a head including a 10 tip. What a result. Definitely going back again.
Last year me and my husband had a dinner at this restaurant.We ordered a bottle of water which was served open and after I drink a little bit I felt a strange taste.When we looked better we noticed the green colour inside.We ask for another bottle of water and they serve us again with an open bottle pretending that he opened the bottle himself.We ask him to give us a bottle unopened because I need to open my self.After couple of minutes they said that doesn’t have any more bottles of large water and give us small ones. After couple of months we have been there again and they served us again with opened bottle of water and we requested again an unopened bottle. My husband left a negative review because of that.It was not correct to sale tap water in bottles. Today I give a negative review because after about half a hour of waiting until they get our order the manager recognised my husband and send her staff to put us out of the restaurant because my husband left a bad review. Conclusion……if you say what they don’t like you will be asked to leave. Ps. The food is great but shame on them as they charge you for tap water £5
We’d been hoping to visit this local restaurant for some time and we weren’t disappointed - lovely atmosphere, delicious well-cooked food and friendly staff - grazie per la bella serata
Ahhh, bit of a funny one, but judging by previous reviews, I'm not the only person to go through this. Brilliant food. Great atmosphere. But I could swear they're selling tap water as bottled water.... why are the bottles already open? Come onnnnnn!
