We used the new triage system for my wife, we had a call within 30 minutes and an appointment the following day. My wife saw Dr Beverley Dickinson who was excellent, very thorough, listened attentively and was very efficient in arranging necessary x rays and tests, all of which were booked in the following 7 days and a follow up appointment with Dr Dickinson to discuss results shortly after that. Absolutely perfect service provided by SHP and the newly launched triage system but in particular by Dr Dickinson who was brilliant throughout. Thank you.
A shame we can't give zero stars. I feel so bad for Solihull residents. Patient care is awful, diagnosis is mostly wrong, never see the same doctor, staff attitude, and they won't listen if you question them. My medical file proves how wrong they have been, but they won't own up to that or fix the mistakes. They will ignore you if you question diagnosis, and definitely don't have blood tests here, they won't discuss results properly with you, and they won't wash hands or use gloves when taking blood. SHP is failing big time. Think all that's left to do is report to ICB and PHSO, and find a new GP practice to register with outside of Solihull catchment area. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
Probably the worst GP practice I’ve ever been with. Impossible to get an appointment or even get through to someone on the phone for a simple, straight forward prescription.
SHP are categorically the worst. They’ve given me incorrect medical advice (one receptionist blocked me from speaking to a doctor as she told me I couldn’t take a certain medication. A Google search told me otherwise and when I did get to speak to a doctor they prescribed it right away) and even told me incorrect blood test results, telling me I was hypothyroid when I was in fact hyperthryoid, and the only reason I knew to question what the doctor was telling me is because my partner is a doctor and had already looked at my blood results. It’s appalling. And to top it off I submitted a formal complaint 2 months ago and they STILL haven’t responded to it. Submitted a request for an appointment this morning and still hadn’t heard back by 5pm. The person on the phone admitted he didn’t read my request form correctly and tried to book me for 2 weeks when I’d made it clear it was for an urgent issue. He finally booked me in for an appointment 30mins later, insisting I had to go in person, despite the fact I’m struggling with mobility and have a baby to bring with me. Not surprisingly I was 10 minutes late to the appointment, and they wouldn’t see me. But then offered me a phone appointment instead!? Go figure. They’re happy to make you wait 1.5 hours for your appointment but god forbid you are 10 minutes late.
The surgery and staff are okay but you never ever see same doctor twice and it is the same with all shp surgeries, also are we seeing doctors or medical students?at union road surgery there was Dr Ali and a doctor Patel, nowhere to be seen now.
