It was sad to read all the poor reviews, as my recent experience was excellent. I recently had to sort out some misinformation between the Urgent Treatment Centre, a paramedic report, and my GP surgery due to a misunderstanding the wrong information was sent to me regarding my treatment. Yesterday, I spoke to Shelley on reception, who was incredibly helpful and took the time to investigate what had happened and asked me to call the next day. When I followed up today, she filled out the necessary forms on my behalf as I provided the information and assured me someone would be in touch. True to her word, a lady named Lisa called me within an hour, and I was able to attend a doctor's appointment this morning where a clear course of action was agreed. This was excellent, 5-star service!
Called in today and was greeted by a very busy chap called Ferris. He assisted me to navigate the process on my phone to get an appointment arranged. Amazing surprise as later same day received a call from a Grove Road Doctor Kotechi who has prescribed me with 2 lots of medication after a good chat regarding the issue. Thanks to both of you !
I saw a male Asian DR ALI at this practice yesterday. He should be removed from practicing Medicine as a so called doctor. He basically ignored my symptoms and requests, and then tried to distribute a falsified medical record to defame and spread false information about me for some unknown reason. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND EVIL PLACE. The last time they apologised to me they gave me an appointment early on a Sunday morning, when I got there it was closed!!! Report these malicious, defamatory doctors to all the authorities!! They are here to provide a service not cause us harm!!
Absolutely horrendous service. Waited by the reception for at least 20 minutes before being attended to (there was no queue), and whilst one lady acknowledged my presence and asked me what I needed, the other (who was supposedly the actual receptionist) carried on with her work as though no one was present. Absolutely rude and disrespectful behaviour. I was about to ask a question, she said “go on, carry on” as she walked in and out of the room getting on with her work (no eye contact). Getting an appointment is difficult as it is, this sort of behaviour from the staff makes it all the more worse.
With my doctors being part of a large group I get sent to many different ones so this was my first time at Shirley. I’m going to request to make this one my regular one for now on. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was super friendly, I asked the receptionist if my husband could park his car while I had my appointment and she was so cheerful, it was so refreshing. Most doctors make you feel so dreary to be there. I’m sorry to the receptionist I instantly forgot her name my memory is poor, a mature lady, she has blonde hair and glasses, an asset to the company. I was there for a blood test, I waited longer than usual but in most doctors it’s to be expected. A nurse came out to get me and again, the most wonderful woman greeted me. We had a nice chat, normally nurses or doctors are very formal or just want you gone quickly but this lady was wonderful and can clearly see she’s care about her patients. I asked her name and it was Julia. She looks great in red btw! Makes her pop! anyway all in all fantastic experience, never thought I’d say that about a doctors hahaha
