Absolutely appalling service from this surgery. Three different reception staff have failed to process an urgent hospital referral, even though A&E passed on all the information to them almost two months ago. Every time I call or go in to chase it up, they ask who I spoke to and act completely unaware of the situation. Instead of checking my notes — where it clearly states I’m a high-risk patient — they make excuses and ask unnecessary questions about who told me I needed a referral. It’s written in black and white, yet they can’t be bothered to read or act on it.
I was later told I’d been booked in for a telephone appointment with a GP the next day, but after waiting all morning, no one called. When I rang back to find out what happened, I was told there was no appointment booked at all and no explanation for why.
This practice is a complete shambles — no communication, no accountability, and the staff never seem to know what’s going on. You can’t even get a same-day appointment through the online triage; the earliest availability is usually around three weeks away. As a high-risk patient, this lack of care and organisation is unacceptable and deeply concerning.

Online booking system is a joke. How are older people suppose to use that? And also the queue to speak to someone is a waste of time. I’ve been number 1 in the queue and still no one will answer the phone. Honestly wouldn’t bother with this doctors anymore!

Booked an appointment at the surgery for same day visit and the staff were great..My appointment was with Sheena who was very professional and attentive. Listened to all my questions/concerns and communicated with me effectively ensuring I understood everything we discussed. I was provided with relevant solutions which in turn have improved my health. Genuinely impressed with the level of service I have received at my appointment..

Not great, took my 3 month old in to be seen by a doctor. The doctor didn’t really recommend anything just told me to trial formula’s but how is that helping for her loose stalls she’s had for over a month now. Didn’t do a check on babies body/tummy etc to find out if any issues were there! Left with the same issues we went in for with no satisfaction!

I have been with this surgery since April 2025 and have nothing but admiration for the staff and Dr's. They are kind, professional, and will always make the time to understand ny situation. I've spoken with Fatima on reception many times and she goes above and beyond in terms of getting appointments booked quickly and is always kind, caring and professional. Today I met with Dr Hussain and I can honestly say I have never met such a warm, friendly Dr. I explained all my issues spanning over 10 years. She advised me in regards to the help that I can get for my mental health. She went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable amd showed how caring she is. The Dr actually made me smile today, something I have not done for a while. I am confident that I can rely on my Dr surgery for my physical and mental health going forwards. Thank you Acocks Green Medical centre for your care and support.
