We visited this lovely pub on Sunday 27th September at around 6pm for a Sunday roast, and I'm so glad we decided to try somewhere different rather than simply going to a Toby! 😊
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely atmosphere and such friendly, welcoming staff. The team working that evening were polite, attentive and genuinely lovely, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. 🥰
And then came the food… 😍🍽️
Our Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, tasty and clearly prepared with care. Everything looked appetising and tasted fantastic. 🤤🥔🥕🍖✨
A fantastic job well done to the entire kitchen team! 👏👨🍳👩🍳🔥 Thank you for preparing and cooking such amazing, tasty and wonderfully flavourful food. You could really tell that care and effort had gone into every part of the meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. 🍽️😋❤️
But the real highlight of our visit was Noah, who looked after us incredibly well. ❤️👏
We had some dietary requirements, and Noah went above and beyond to make sure everything was suitable for us. He took the time to listen, check everything carefully and make sure we were completely comfortable with what we were ordering. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for him, and his attention to detail really stood out. 🙏😊
It's not often you come across someone who genuinely makes you feel so well looked after, and Noah absolutely did that for us. ⭐️ He was friendly, patient, professional and clearly cared about making sure we had a great experience.

Stayed at this lovely pub as I was in the area for work and away from home.
I was a little nervous eating in the pub on my own but as soon as Sam knew I was on my own she said I could eat at the bar so I could talk to her.
Not many would do that and I was so grateful to her.
The food was amazing too so hats off to the chefs the beef was delicious
My room was also spotless so well done housekeeping, I was housekeeping for 10 years so know a good house keeper

Service by Noah was exceptional, very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Will definately return. All of the staff were friendly and polite, cannot fault the serving staff at all. Food was presented amazingly, didnt want to eat it, to ruin the presentation 🤪🤣. 11/10

Stopped by for dinner with a local family friend while in England. Service was quick and attentive and food was delicious and hot when it came out.
My husband had the chicken roast with hot honey with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Chicken was juicy, and had a great flavor. The hot honey glaze was a perfect balance. Sticky toffee pudding was a good as well.
I had the chicken, leek, and cheese pie with raspberry creme brulee. The pie was crusty, flakey, and buttery. The only small complain to had was with the creme brulee. I wish it had the sugar crust on the top that cracks when you tap it. This was soft.
Overall, would recommend!

A very lovely spot along the water with an excellent Sunday roast! Service was kind and prompt, food was delicious and the space was cozy and inviting. Love the twist on the sticky toffee pudding - and great presentation too! A happy find - I’m sure we’ll be back when staying again.
