MJ was a second to none waitress. Our service was incredible and we're so grateful we're going to keep coming back.
Obviously, the other reason was that the food was lovely, the atmosphere and environment were lovely and (knowing this perhaps won't impact your choices, but just in case!!) the other customers were really friendly.

Always loved a carvery but hadn’t been for a very long time. I’m not sure if it’s due to higher demand because of the offers (which are fantastic btw) but the restaurant still didn’t feel overly crowded.. however the food was below average, meat was okay but the veg etc was not. Yorkshire puddings were as flat as a pancake and the mash potato which my son had to come back for 10 mins later was extremely lumpy. Again… perhaps with higher demand the chefs felt rushed but then missed out on quality. The deserts were also pretty naff.. sticky toffee pudding looked like a dry muffin with childrens squirty ice cream and my son asked for a “make your own sundae” but was served ice cream with all the bits on already in a cheap plastic bowl, he was then in tears because of this and does not like meringue. I think the gravy / sauce area could be wiped down more regularly also as it was gross, which is the customers fault.. but could be wiped more often to make other customers experience a little better. We can not fault the service and the young lady serving was great, but I must mention she seemed very stressed and while she was doing a great job it’s hard to enjoy the experience as I just wanted her to have a break. Offers are fantastic, especially for young children - but standards and quality must remain high for people to return.

Good food here, we had a carvery today, and found the meat cut very thinly. There was no sprouts or broccoli, which, for me was disappointing. Everything tasted good though. Great service from the hosts. Parking was a bit hard as it was busy. We went on a sunday around 4pm. We'd definitely go back, but probably try a different time of day

Really disappointing experience at Toby Carvery.
Before ordering, we specifically asked if the bill could be split and were told that this would be absolutely fine. We relied on that when ordering, only to be told when it came time to pay that the bill couldn’t be split after all. If we had been told this beforehand, we could have made other arrangements.
Unfortunately, the food was also substandard and not what we expected for the price. The service made the experience even worse. Our drinks were practically slammed down on the table, and while serving them, water was spilled. Everything felt rushed and careless.
It’s particularly frustrating when you’ve asked about something important like splitting the bill beforehand, been given a clear answer, and then been told something completely different at the end. Food was also extremely expensive
Overall, poor food, poor service and poor communication. The whole experience was incredibly disappointing, and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this Toby Carvery or be returning.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Toby Carvery Knowle! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive. The carvery itself was spot on — perfectly cooked meats, crispy roast potatoes, and a great variety of fresh vegetables, all topped off with rich, tasty gravy.
The restaurant was clean, well-organised, and had a really warm, relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for a family meal or a chilled Sunday roast. Portions were generous and great value for money, with everything constantly topped up and fresh.
Huge credit to the team at Knowle — they clearly take pride in what they do. Easily one of the best Toby Carvery experiences I’ve had. Will definitely be returning!
