Absolutely fantastic experience at Toby Carvery Knowle! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive. The carvery itself was spot on — perfectly cooked meats, crispy roast potatoes, and a great variety of fresh vegetables, all topped off with rich, tasty gravy.
The restaurant was clean, well-organised, and had a really warm, relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for a family meal or a chilled Sunday roast. Portions were generous and great value for money, with everything constantly topped up and fresh.
Huge credit to the team at Knowle — they clearly take pride in what they do. Easily one of the best Toby Carvery experiences I’ve had. Will definitely be returning!

I really felt I had to write a review after the fabulous meal we had on Friday evening. The whole experience was made even better by Aimee who was looking after us. She was so lovely, polite and attentive. At the end of the night while we were finishing our drinks and Aimee was clearing and cleaning tables around us we had a great chat with her. She never stopped working throughout but made time for us on a very busy night. The food was amazing as always and we look forward to our next meal with you. 😊

Absolutely love visiting Toby Carvery Knowle! The food is always spot on – the carvery is fresh, hot, and full of flavour with plenty of choice, and the roast potatoes and gravy are especially amazing. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and can’t do enough for you, even when it’s busy. The atmosphere is great and it’s always a lovely place to come for a proper roast. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Had such a great experience at Toby Carvery Knowle! The food was delicious as always – everything was cooked perfectly and there was loads of choice on the carvery. You can really tell the team take pride in what they do. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. Service was quick and efficient, even though it was busy. It’s easily one of the best places around for a proper roast dinner. Can’t recommend it enough!

Our recent visit to Toby Carvery turned into something far more memorable than just a great meal — and that was entirely down to our incredible server, Freddie.
From the moment we arrived, Freddie set the tone for what would become one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. He greeted us with genuine warmth and a natural friendliness that immediately made us feel welcome and looked after. It wasn’t just polite service — it felt personal, like he truly cared about making our visit special.
Throughout the meal, Freddie went above and beyond in every possible way. He was attentive without ever being intrusive, always seeming to appear at just the right moment to check in, offer help, or make sure everything was perfect. Whether it was answering questions about the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, or ensuring our drinks were always topped up, he handled everything effortlessly and with a smile.
What really stood out was his attention to detail. It’s rare to find someone who notices the little things before you even have to ask, but Freddie did exactly that. He anticipated our needs, made adjustments without fuss, and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that allowed us to fully enjoy our meal without a single worry.
The food, of course, was fantastic — classic Toby Carvery at its best — but it was Freddie’s exceptional service that truly elevated the entire experience. He brought energy, professionalism, and genuine kindness to his role, and it made a lasting impression on all of us.
It’s not often that you leave a restaurant talking more about the service than the food, but Freddie absolutely deserves that recognition. He is a real credit to the team, and Toby Carvery is lucky to have someone so dedicated and naturally brilliant at what he does.
